Homemade Chocolate!!!

Who doesn’t love chocolate?  I love dark chocolate, but if you’re like me, I don’t like paying nearly $5 for a bar of natural dark chocolate.

I’m going to show you how you can make your own dark chocolate, with any added ingredients you wish to make it your favorite flavor!  It’s easy and quick, you can be eating these bars in a matter of minutes!  (Video below)

Ingredients: (makes 2 bars)

  • 1/2 cup organic cocoa powder
  • 1/4 cup organic virgin coconut oil
  • 1 tbsp monkfruit sweetener
  • 3 packets of powdered stevia
  • 1 tbsp vanilla extract
  • 1/2 tsp Himalayan salt

Instructions:

  • Melt the coconut oil in a sauce pan.
  • Once melted, turn off the heat.
  • Add the cocoa and whisk until thoroughly mixed.
  • Next, add the monkfruit sweetener and stevia.
  • Last, whisk in the vanilla extract and salt.
  • Allow the chocolate to cool a bit and thicken up, stir occasionally.

The instructions above are the base for the dark chocolate.  At this point, you can add anything you would like to mix, or inside the mold.  The only limits are your imagination!  Here are a few ideas…..

Espresso
Mint
Toasted Almonds
Salt
Caramel
Peanuts/Peanut Butter
Toasted Pecans

Once you have your desired ingredients added, pour the chocolate into the molds.  Be careful not to fill all the way as it will expand as it cools.  Throw in the freezer for 10-15 minutes, and it will be hard enough to remove from the mold.

Final step, enjoy!!
